Smoky Mountain Winery
You will be stopping by the oldest winery in East Tennessee when you visit the Smoky Mountain Winery in Gatlinburg. Many of their wines have won regional, national and international awards.
This particular winery really celebrates the history we have here in the Great Smoky Mountains. All of their wine labels showcase different areas of history and the labels are explained by the tour guides. Located just feet from the entrance to the National Park, this is a beautiful winery in downtown Gatlinburg that features many wines grown in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains by farmers that have been in the business for generations. If you visit the Pigeon Forge area often, you have probably noticed this little winery. It sits along the Little Pigeon River in the Old Mill Square. What makes this winery so unique is its location. With it sitting along the river, it really makes this an ideal place to sit and sip. Enjoy watching the families enjoy the Old Mill Square area and enjoy some relaxation while looking towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Be sure to step inside and enjoy some wine samples or to purchase some wine or cider to take back home!
Bootleggers Homemade Wine
Bootleggers is located in Gatlinburg and began with two country winemaker sisters. They start from scratch using the best fruit around and use the same recipes that have been around this Smoky Mountain area for a very long time. They have no machines or fancy equipment – they simply make their wine using kitchen items you will likely find in any kitchen in the South. They even bottle each batch by hand. You will enjoy their wine so stop in for a tasting on your next visit to the area!
